Last month while Wilko was visiting with his three friends from Amsterdam, we found ourselves enjoying a rare and special treat... an entire afternoon to ourselves--JUST the two of us. What to do, what to do??? So many options... We racked our brains and tried to come up something unique to do and that would suit both of us. It was a gorgeous day, so I suggested a trip out to the Carlos Creek Winery in Carlos, MN. We decided to give it a try, jumped in the car and headed out to the winery.
After arriving, we wandered the beautiful grounds before buying a glass of wine (and a cookbook, surprise, surprise) and sitting down to listen to some live music by an amazing local woman, Kaylee Guenther.
Yesterday, I made my first recipe from my winery purchase; Susie Middleton's Fast, Fresh & Green.
It has a TON of delicious looking vegetable recipes. Since I have an excessive amount of fresh green beans in my refrigerator, I opted to try the Grilled Green Beans withThyme-Dijon Butter
Scrum-diddely-umptious!!!
So fresh and easy. I cannot wait to try the next recipe from Middleton's collection! Yum yum yum...
